Walter Cook has over 35 years of experience in natural resource management and captive wildlife. He received his Bachelor's in Natural Resource Management from the University of Tennessee at Martin and went on to take various courses in Survey of Wildlife Diseases and Emergence of Foreign Diseases. He is also proficient in Edison, a PeopleSoft accounting system.

Cook was a Wildlife Officer at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency for 33 years. He started his TWRA career as a Wildlife Officer 1 in 1988 then served as a Wildlife Officer 2 before his promotion to Captain. After leaving the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency as a Captain, Cook opened WCConsulting LLC to serve clients in the wildlife field.

At WCConsulting LLC, Cook provides consulting services to zoological institutions on risk assessment and management, policy review and editing, biosecurity, construction oversight, and more. He is highly respected in the field of wildlife management and conservation and his knowledge and experience are invaluable assets to all his clients.
